This will help us to understand what products we should be looking at and what designs to consider.
One of the main challenges with designing for the Sci-Fi sector is the sheer number of different systems and settings, and the different requirements they place on encounter maps. You feedback will really help us get things right!
Now we're back to work!
Matt has locked himself in the design studio to go over all the maps one last time. He is a perfectionist and there is a lot to go through so that should keep him busy!
While that happens the Backerkit Pledge Manager survey is being designed, checked, checked again and tested before being sent out!
Lets take a look at the progress on the G84-B Orbital Prison map, which was the map Matt was working on during the last Twitch stream. This is one of the larger base maps at 60x40 inches.
Due to the size of this map it's hard to see details, so here's a zoomed in look at a couple of those cells.
You should expect your survey in 2 weeks.
There will be updates explaining how to fill it in.
As always please reach out if you have any questions!

Thank you all once again.
The support, ideas and kind words over the last 3 weeks have been so awesome. We have thoroughly enjoyed this campaign and we hope you have too!
That last Stretch Goal...
We came so close! So it seems only fair that as we are using a Backerkit Pledge Manager survey to make Add-Ons available that we include the revenue raised in Backerkit towards Stretch Goals! So we keep going towards that goal!!
What happens Next?
We will be putting out updates with more information on all this in due course, and of course please reach out if you have any questions in the meantime. But in a nutshell here is what to expect and what we need you to do next -
Kickstarter will take approx. 2 weeks to process your payments and release funds and details to us.
Once this is done we will open the pledge manager survey. We will be using Backerkit and you will receive an email link to your survey which will be sent to the email address on your Kickstarter account.
If you encounter any issues with the collection of your payment, this is all handled by Kickstarter and you can contact them direct to discuss (https://help.kickstarter.com).
You will need to complete the survey to receive your rewards!
The survey will ask you to confirm your pledge level (you will be able to switch it), confirm your address (and pay VAT at your local rate based on the address given for UK/EU backers) and purchase any Add-Ons you may like.
Once you have confirmed your address and paid for any outstanding amount (for VAT, add-ons etc) you will be able to collect your download codes for DriveThruRPG from the Digital Rewards tab on your survey.
We will pop out a full update walking you through the survey nearer the time. We will also pop out an update detailing the available add-ons.
Thank you again for coming on this amazing adventure with us!

To say this campaign has exceeded our expectations would be an understatement!
Quite simply, you all rock! It’s awesome to see such amazing support for the creation of Sci-Fi material for roleplaying games.
And there’s still a day left!
Final Stretch Goal
If we manage to hit £40,000 then we’ll add more of everything, more maps, tiles and tokens.
To help hit that target please share the campaign with any friends or online spaces that would appreciate these maps and assets.
Talking of assets, we’ve keen to hear what you’d love to see us create and add to the collection of assets we’re making. This could be suggestions for themed room tiles, furniture, special effects, or anything else that you believe would be a great addition.
Livestream Drawing on Monday
Matt will be live drawing on Twitch during the last couple of hours of the campaign, visit the Loke twitch channel https://www.twitch.tv/lokebattlemats to follow along (22:00 GMT Monday 6th).
Dragonmeet
We'd also like to give a quick shoutout to all the backers we met and chatted to at Dragonmeet in London yesterday, it was great to be able to talk about what you wanted to see from this campaign and how you were planning on using the maps in your own games.

Hey everyone,
Stephen Hart here again. The campaign has been going great guns and as we are entering the last weekend I thought I'd share some free content with you.
From the 1st of December I have started my fantasy advent calendar campaign where backers get new content daily DURING the campaign and also get to VOTE on what content gets released tomorrow. It's a ton of fun and it got me thinking, I can't share content every day with you folks - and you do have a TON of map goodness (plus my adventure) coming your way at the end of the campaign - BUT - what I could do is try to channel my inner Iain Banks and share a random name generator for starships with you.
Not that I'm saying I'm as good as Mr Banks - I'd never be that egotistical! But I can be inspired by my fellow scot and so here is your free, bonus content for being a great backer.
(For some reason KS isn't letting the file be accessed through right clicking the image below,)
As to the adventure for this campaign. That is all edited, checked and locked down. Matt and Tamzin have the file and it will be released to relevant backers with the maps.
If you'd like to check out the fantasy advent calendar you can find it HERE (if you join at any point after today you immediately get access to the previous content).
Enjoy the content, and the examples shown on the name tables were genuinely rolled up in Frog HQ.
